AFC Ajax Hub
AFC Ajax and Sandals Foundation have launched a unique youth program on Curaçao. Since 2022, local coaches trained by AFC Ajax have been teaching elementary school children to play football with goals made from recycled plastic and abandoned fishing nets.
What is the goal of the program?
The program aims to teach children not only football skills but also life skills and respect for their natural environment.
How does the program work?
The program works with an eight-week lesson program, provided by local Future Coaches trained according to the renowned youth development methodology of AFC Ajax.

What are the results?
To date, the program has collected over 3,400 kilos of plastic waste, 1.7 million plastic caps, and reused 315 square meters of fishing nets.
Our current standing in the Eredivisie is 5th place, with 56 points, 14 wins, 14 draws, and 6 losses out of 34 games, and a recent form of DLDWW. We are 28 points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven.
