AFC Ajax has completed its coaching staff under Míchel. The Spanish manager will be assisted by fellow countrymen Juanvi Peinado Fernández and Alberto Garrido Martínez.

The Amsterdam club has announced through its official channels that Juanvi Peinado Fernández and Alberto Garrido Martínez will serve as the new assistants to the head coach. Additionally, Juan Carlos Balaguer Zamora has been appointed as the new goalkeeping coach of the first team.

What does this mean for AFC Ajax?

The arrival of the new staff brings a significant amount of international experience to the club. Peinado previously worked closely with Julen Lopetegui at clubs such as Sevilla, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and West Ham United, while Garrido earned his stripes in the youth academy of Real Madrid and recently at Watford FC.

How is the preparation for the upcoming season going?

The AFC Ajax squad has already started preparing for the upcoming season. Most players reported to the capital on Thursday for a series of physical tests, followed by the first group training session on Friday. Míchel's team is working towards the first official match on July 23.
