Ter Stegen and De Jong have had a lot of contact in the past few days. Ter Stegen says that De Jong is very honest and always says what he thinks. 'He is a true Dutchman', says Ter Stegen.
Ter Stegen explains that he has spoken a lot with De Jong about his choice to join Ajax. 'He has suffered a lot as an Ajax fan', says Ter Stegen. 'The past few days we have had a lot of contact. Frenkie is very honest and says always what he thinks.'

Ter Stegen returns to Ajax after a year at FC Barcelona. He was loaned to Girona, but only played two games there. Ter Stegen explains that he is now fully fit and can enjoy without too many problems.
Why did Ter Stegen join Ajax?
Ter Stegen explains that he joined Ajax because he knows the coach and Daley Blind. 'When I spoke with Jordi, it felt good from the first moment', says Ter Stegen. 'I know the coach and Daley already, so I could talk with them about the feeling they had for the project. That was very convincing.'
How does the season look?
Ter Stegen explains that he is now fully fit and can enjoy without too many problems. He says that he hopes for a good season. 'I am now reunited with Julian Brandt, my fellow countryman who also surprisingly came to Amsterdam. That is perfect. He is a good player and a nice guy.'
