PSG Advances in Negotiations with Ajax for Mika Godts

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is making progress in negotiations to sign Mika Godts from Ajax before the transfer window closes. According to Sacha Tavolieri, who reported this, PSG is now well into their efforts to secure the 21-year-old attacker.

The deal was on hold as PSG focused on preparations for the UEFA Super Cup. Now that they have won the trophy, PSG can intensify their attempts to sign Godts. The Belgian forward has already agreed to personal terms, and Ajax values him at around €65 million.

From One to Two Attackers?

PSG has already added one attacker to their squad by signing Maghnes Akliouche. A potential acquisition of Godts would be the second attacker to join the Parc des Princes this summer. If PSG secures Godts, they might offload Barcola to Liverpool.

The 21-year-old Godts is a product of Genk's academy and has made it clear that he wants to move to the French capital before the transfer window closes. Ajax will likely not retain him if they can agree on terms with PSG.
