Ajax announced the arrival of Abdoulaye Camara today. The 17-year-old French midfielder comes from Udinese on a one-season loan. There is an optional purchase price of €15 million, which will be automatically activated if the pre-agreed conditions are met. If the option is exercised, Camara will remain under contract until mid-2031.

Camara’s Career
Camara has so far had little experience at the highest level. His only Serie A debut came in May, when he came on in the closing stages of the match against Cremonese (0-1). He has trained with the first team and was regularly on the bench. Additionally, he played many minutes for Udinese’s Primavera side, where he wore the captain’s armband.
Jong Ajax and the Future
With Camara’s arrival, Jong Ajax gains a young, technically gifted player who can develop in a competitive environment. The club sees him as a potential long-term reinforcement for the first team. Camara will join the Jong Ajax squad and could earn a place in the senior team over the coming seasons.
Medical Check and Finalization
A medical examination is scheduled to verify Camara’s physical fitness. Once this is completed, the final formalities will be processed and the transfer can be finalized.
